Call for Papers: the 32nd International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts
I’m slowly returning to some semblance of normality and peaceful life after the hectic days that concluded my time as doctoral student. I intend to get some more writing done now, of various kinds, and I thought I’d start with the most important information here:
The 2011 International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts is scheduled for March 16-20, in Orlando, Florida. Its theme is The Fantastic Ridiculous, with Connie Willis and Terry Bisson as Guests of Honour and Andrea Hairston as Guest Scholar.
There is a Call for Papers out now, and the deadline for paper proposals is November 15! All kinds of scholarly approaches to the fantastic are welcome. (And having attended thirteen previous ICFA’s, I can vouch for the great quality of the conference.)
You can find more information at the web site of the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts, or feel free to post any questions here.
Hope to see you in Orlando!
